Collaborative workshops 'Zee vol windmolens'
Wilt u als onderzoeker of zakelijke partner bijdragen aan het thema ‘Een zee vol windmolens’ binnen de NWA-ORC 2023 call en samenwerken in een interdisciplinair en kennisketenbreed consortium? NWO nodigt u van harte uit voor de collaboratieve workshops op 16 november en 7 december voor dit thema van De blauwe route binnen de NWA Onderzoek op Routes door Consortia (ORC) 2023.

Door de bouw van heel veel windmolens moet de Noordzee de groene energiecentrale van Europa worden. Terwijl de bouw van de windparken heel snel gaat, schrijdt het onderzoek naar de effecten slechts langzaam voort. In dit onderzoek moeten de effecten beter duidelijk worden. Denk daarbij aan veranderde waterstromen, voedselbeschikbaarheid, het leven onder water maar ook de interactie met andere gebruikers van de Noordzee. Daar bovenop worden de effecten van klimaatverandering meegenomen.
Tijdens de collaboratieve workshops kunt u kennismaken met andere onderzoekers en maatschappelijke partners die een bijdrage willen leveren aan het thema ‘Een zee vol windmolens’ en worden kansen voor samenwerking verkend om tot vernieuwende aanvragen te komen. De workshops zijn een goede gelegenheid om uw expertise in te brengen en bij te dragen aan de uitvoering van een thema. Deelname aan de workshops is verplicht voor (hoofdaanvragers) van volledige aanvragen.
De vooraf ingediende initiatieven vormen het inhoudelijk startpunt voor de workshops. Een initiatief kan een potentiële bijdrage aan het thema zijn of een projectidee op hoofdlijnen.
We nodigen u van harte uit voor deelname aan deze call en workshops en kans op toekomstige samenwerking.

Would you like to contribute as a partner or researcher to the theme 'A sea of turbines' within the NWA-ORC 2023 call and collaborate in an interdisciplinary and knowledge chain-wide consortium? NWO would like to invite you to the collaborative workshops on 20 November and 6 December for this Blue Route theme within the NWA Research on Routes by Consortia (ORC) 2023 call.
The North Sea is set to become Europe’s green power plant with the construction of many wind turbines. But while wind farms are being built at a rapid pace, research examining the effects these turbines are having on their surroundings is progressing slowly. This research aims to shed more light on these effects. Think of the changes to water currents, food availability, underwater life, but also the interaction with other users of the North Sea. In addition, the effects of climate change are also taken into consideration.
During the collaborative workshops you can meet other researchers and social partners who want to contribute to the theme 'A sea of turbines'. The workshops are a good opportunity to contribute your expertise and contribute to the implementation of a theme. Participation in the workshops is mandatory for (lead applicants) of full applications.
Pre-submitted initiatives are the substantive starting point for the workshops. An initiative can be a potential contribution to the theme or an outline project idea.
